Distance and Freedom: 17th Biennale of Sydney

The 17th Biennale of Sydney came to a close this weekend. I had the chance to fly up to Sydney for the day and experience a world-class art exhibit. Cockatoo Island is the major venue and host to 120 works by 56 international artists. Meridians Shanghai 2010: Art & Sound in Public Space

The world is watching China in 2010…. What’s next from the mighty dragon?… Shanghai World Expo 2010.

Australia, along with 180 countries will have a significant national presence at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. From 1 May to 31 October 2010, Australia’s visually striking national pavilion will showcase Australian innovation, art, creativity and achievement.

My airline ticket is booked and I’m very lucky to attend this once in a life time event. I will be co-producing and filming a short documentary with Clare Leporati on a unique international collaboration, Meridians, as they create a contemporary public artwork in Shanghai, China. Here’s a short video preview produced by RMIT University, Melbourne.
